In this half-day workshop, you’ll work with Jo at our traditional forge to create your own bodkin - an essential tool for basketmaking that is basically a metal spike with wooden handle. Participants will learning the key blacksmithing techniques of tapering and managing a charcoal fire to shape the spike using mild steel. Then, you’ll work with Paul to shape a wooden handle for your bodkin.
