Introduction to Green Woodworking

  • Green Aspirations Scotland CIC Gartur Nr Port of Menteith FK8 3JY GB (map)

This one-day introductory workshop is a great way to start your journey into the world of green woodworking. Throughout the day, you’ll learn about the characteristics of different species of wood and then get hands-on with a range of traditional hand tools, including draw knives and axes. Our trainers will show you how to use the tools safely and efficiently, and you’ll make something you can take home - usually a mallet, spatula or whittling stick. The emphasis is on helping you learn basic skills which you can then develop for more complex projects.

The workshop is aimed at complete beginners - no experience or skills are needed! All tools and materials are provided.
