Coppice Crafts Day
Join us for a day celebrating traditional coppice crafts, using hazel sticks we’ve cut this year from across coppice sites in Scotland.
With support from the Forth Valley Climate Action Hub, we’ll be offering a day of demonstrations and drop-in sessions to try our a range of traditional coppice crafts, from hazel splitting and weaving to charcoal making. Hazel has been coppiced for thousands of years and can be used for building, hurdles, thatching spars, flood prevention, and more. We’ll be chatting and exploring all things coppice, so join us for this free day of stick-related fun!
