Seasonal foraging with Monica Wilde


Monica Wilde is a forager, research herbalist and ethnobotanist. She has been teaching foraging courses, wild cookery, plant medicine, rewinding retreats and nature immersion all over the country for over 13 years. She has a Masters degree in Herbal Medicine and is a Fellow of the Linnean Society. Monica lives in a self-built wooden house in Scotland. Nature has been her addiction since early childhood! She was a founding member of the Association of Foragers. Monica also works at Napiers the Herbalists.


Monica will be joining Green Aspirations to run three foraging courses, in the spring, summer and autumn:


  • Spring foraging, with a focus on exploring the plants that are available early in the year: Saturday 13 April
  • Summer foraging, with a focus on how to use and store plants around midsummer: Saturday 20 July
  • Autumn foraging, with a focus on preserving, including pickling, fermenting and dyring: Saturday 19 October

  • Workshop programme

    You'll arrive in the woods by 10am, and be directed to our hand-built, greenwood shelter. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. Workshop days run from 10am until 4pm. The foraging workshops may make use of other sites, so please keep an eye on your emails for details.

  • Cancellation policy

    We do have to cancel events from time to time, usually for safety reasons in bad weather or when there is a weather warning. If we do have to cancel, we'll give as much notice as possible. We'll also refund the value of the booking, seek a suitable placement on a similar event or rearrange the date of the event.


    If you have to cancel, please tell us as far in advance as possible. If you let us know at least 7 days in advance, we'll refund your booking.
