About the Event

After  a while in the spooncarving world it becomes obvious that most of the carved spoons are variations of ancient Swedish ones. While it might be quite comfy to work on familiar styles, every now and then it’s nice to try something new. But inspiration can be hard to find! In this workshop, we'll try to catch some new (old) ideas from our own history, drawing inspiration from architecture, paintings and old spoons. By the end of this 1-day workshop, we’ll be ready to go and make something new and fresh!

About Werner: Based near Munich, Werner started green woodworking over ten years ago and has been teaching for much of that time. During the last few years he has focused on smaller things like spoons, kuksas and bowls and on tool making. The one thing he likes most about his woodworking journey is the many wonderful people he has met. We've been lucky enough to have Werner at the Spoon Hoolie each year since we started, and it's great to have him back again for 2022.

The 1-day workshop run from 10am to 4pm. It is aimed at advanced carvers.
