*New* 2-Day Knifecraft

When Paul recently noticed that the knives in his kit were all made by good friends or ones he has adapted himself, he got to thinking about how personal our carving knives can be. Couple that with the number of requests he gets about recommendations for knives, and - bam! - a lightbulb moment happened! Why don't we adapt our usual Knifecraft workshop to incorporate making your own knife? 

So that's what we've done, in this new 2-day course!

Day one consists of designing, making and fitting a handle and sheath for a new Mora 106 blade - one of the most consistent and best value blades on the market. And we've collected some great materials to make sure you can personalise your design.

Day two focuses on honing your knife skills, using your new 106.  You'll learn a range of knife skills and build confidence throughout the day, putting them to use making chopsticks, butter spreaders, wands and even a skulk of foxes! 

By the end of the weekend, you'll have your very own knife, with a handle and sheath you've designed and made, as well as a host of items you've whittled and carved with your knife. On top of that, you'll have the knowledge to put your knife to good use in the future! 

Workshop programme Both days run from 10am- 4pm. Upon arrival you'll be directed to our hand-built, greenwood shelter. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. 

Cancellation policy We do have to cancel events from time to time, usually for safety reasons in bad weather or when there is a weather warning. If we do have to cancel, we'll give as much notice as possible. We'll also refund the value of the booking, seek a suitable placement on a similar event or rearrange the date of the event.   If you have to cancel, please tell us as far in advance as possible. If you let us know at least 7 days in advance, we'll refund your booking.
