National Beanpole Week coppice event

Celebrate National Beanpole week with a coppice crafts workshop. Make a hazel plant obelisk or woven split hazel panel. On this workshop we will look at recently coppiced hazel in Glen Finglas, the Woodland Trust's largest site and part of the Great Trossachs Forest NNR. Coppicing is one of our oldest forms of woodland management and it has benefits to wildlife whilst providing materials for many traditional crafts. The workshop will be outdoors, please come prepared for walking in the woods and bring a packed lunch. A range of locally produced charcoal and coppiced products will also be available to buy on the day.
