About the Event
Limes have been important to humans throughout history. Overlooked today, this beautiful and versatile tree has many uses. We will look at making rope from bark used on viking  boat rigging, gathering flowers to make a tea that aids relaxation and making fire using lime in bow drills. We will also explore the timbers sculptural uses as we carve a sign. As with all our workshops, you will take home what you make and see the trees around us in a new light.
Workshop programme You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to our workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm.Â
