About the Event
Aimed at advanced carvers, this 1-day workshop will introduce you to endgrain cups, great projects for those bits of wood that are too  small for spoons or cups or simply have a weird shape, but are  actually too good to throw away. The mugs are hollowed out from the end of the wood and, if we follow a few basic rules of the game, we can carve quite durable drinking vessels. The focus of this small workshop is on the spoon knife – dealing with it, how to make your  life easier and probably also looking at sharpening. With a bit  of luck, the small cup will be finished during the course and we still have a little time to take a look at the options for designing the surface.
About Werner: Based near Munich, Werner started green woodworking over ten years ago and has been teaching for much of that time. During the last few years he has focused on smaller things like spoons, kuksas and bowls and on tool making. The one thing he likes most about his woodworking journey is the many wonderful people he has met. We've been lucky enough to have Werner at the Spoon Hoolie each year since we started, and it's great to have him back again for 2022.
The 1-day workshop run from 10am to 4pm.Â
