Big Spoons, Big Fun!

We're delighted to welcome Werner back for another amazing carving workshop ahead of the 2023 Spoon Hoolie. He's been with us from the start of our Hoolie journey, and never fails to deliver excellent learning experiences. Here's what he says about this workshop:

"Bigger spoons like serving spoons or ladles give us more freedom in shape than their smaller relatives the eating spoons. Let’s explore what’s possible within the space that functionality allows. Crazy shapes are possible as well as really elegant ones. As there is a lot of wood to remove we will focus on axe work and our good friend, the spoon knife. After two days of carving fun there will still be enough room for a proper discussion around finishing and painting."
