About the Event

Axes were among the first metal tools made and have been used for a wide range of work, from timber felling, chopping firewood, and even for fine carving. On this one-day workshop, you'll learn how axes work, how to look after them, and how to use them safely! Whether you already have an axe and would like to to get more out of it, or you're wondering which axe would suit you best, this course is for you. Join us for a day of axe wielding fun and learn vital skills you can put to use in spoon carving, garden bench making and more! If you want to make the most of the weekend, sign up for our axe handles and sheaths workshop, too. Book both and get a 10% discount, using code Axes10!

Workshop programme You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring food with you; you are welcome to cook over the campfire. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day.
