About the Event
Axes were among the first metal tools made and have been used for a wide range of work, from timber felling, chopping fireword, and even for fine carving. On this one-day workshop, you'll learn how axes work, how to look after them, and how to use them safely! Whether you already have an axe and would like to to get more out of it, or you're wondering which axe would suit you best, this course is for you. Join us for a day of axe wielding fun and learn vital skills you can put to use in spoon carving, garden bench making and more!
Workshop programmeÂ
You'll arrive in the woods by 10am, and be directed to our hand-built, greenwood shelter. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm.Â
Cancellation policyÂ
We do have to cancel events from time to time, usually for safety reasons in bad weather or when there is a weather warning. If we do have to cancel, we'll give as much notice as possible. We'll also refund the value of the booking, seek a suitable placement on a similar event or rearrange the date of the event. Â Â If you have to cancel, please tell us as far in advance as possible. If you let us know at least 7 days in advance, we'll refund your booking.Â
