About the Event

Sooner or later we all need a new handle for a well loved axe. This workshop will take you through the process and tools required. We will look at a range of tools, timber selection and equipment needed. During the day you will select timber and shape it to meet your needs. You will fit your axe and make a wedge to finish off. Axe heads can be provided (for a fee!) if you don't have one! We'll also be making a leather sheath for your blade. Book this and the Axecraft workshop and get a 10% discount, using code Axes10.

Workshop programme You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring food with you; you are welcome to cook over the campfire. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day.
